Hello everyone,

I’m looking for some advice.

Sometimes, when reviewing the sources used by the bot, I notice that the confidence scores are relatively low (around 60–70%), which can lead to less accurate responses.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to configure the bot’s algorithm to automatically adjust its behavior when the confidence score drops below a certain threshold, for example, by asking clarifying questions or requesting additional context when the score is at particular level?

The main issue with relying on the confidence score is that it’s not always a consistent or reliable indicator across different training models. Different training models calculate and interpret confidence scores differently, so using it as a control mechanism could lead to unstable behavior — especially when the training model is updated.

Additionally, even within the same training model, low confidence scores don’t always mean the answer is wrong. Biases in the model or noise in the data or subtle differences in phrasing can cause lower similarity scores, even when the result is actually relevant.

A better approach is to focus on improvement through monitoring and retraining. For example, you can track unresolved or low-quality responses and use them to refine your data and FAQs over time.

Very important: If you will use a more advanced or stronger model (Especially Sonnet 4.5), you’ll also notice that it already tends to handle uncertainty better — often asking clarifying questions or providing balanced responses automatically.

So, in short: rather than building logic around confidence thresholds, it’s more effective to invest in model quality, richer training data, and performance reviews.

What is the difference between agent mode and chat mode aside from having image recognition capabilities?

As in chat mode, we can also use the functions capability and hence “agentic”, what is the benefit of switching to agent mode if we don’t need image recognition?

Hi everyone. I'm having a really hard time understanding how the flows work.

I'd like to create a flow that is at first guided (the Chatbot guides the user through specific steps, for example in order to capture their request and route it to the correct agent) and only after the user completes this flow the actual chatbot starts.

Is there any kind of templates I can follow? the templates available are only for external apps. Thank you
